A'shon Galaxy is the embodiment of one man's profound yearning to share his musical universe with the world. That man is Sean Wilburn, born and raised in Oakland, California—a city that birthed legends like Too Short, MC Hammer, En Vogue, and Tony Toni Toné. From an early age, Sean was immersed in the sounds of his family’s vinyl collection, full of albums spanning the 50s to the 80s. When his family moved to Vallejo, California, Sean discovered a new world of music. Vallejo is the home of local rap icons like E-40, Mac Dre, and Mac Mall; the origin of legendary artists like Sly Stone, Con Funk Shun; and the future star H.E.R. At this pivotal moment in his life, Sean picked up his first true musical tool: a pen and a notebook. With a heart full of dreams and a soul brimming with stories, he began to pour his emotions into song after song. The first notebook quickly filled with his thoughts and melodies, followed by a second, a third. Soon enough, he had more notebooks dedicated to his music than to his schoolwork. Each page was alive with lyrics, melodies, choruses, and intricate arrangements, all waiting for the music to bring them to life. Driven by a deep, unshakable passion, Sean met others who shared his creative fire. This connection inspired him to buy his first keyboard, marking the beginning of his musical odyssey. Completely self-taught, Sean immersed himself in learning the keyboard, and soon extended his skills to electric and acoustic guitars, bass, and drums. Each new instrument became a bridge to transform his vivid musical dreams into tangible, heartfelt reality. Sean began producing R&B and Hip-Hop music, crafting tracks for himself and other talented, aspiring artists in his community. As a self-taught musician, his sound was a unique blend of originality and nostalgia. Drawing inspiration from the legends who shaped his youth; The Isley Brothers, Babyface, Prince, Jam & Lewis, Quincy Jones, and many more, Sean infused the music of his formative years with the music of the time.
